Led by Natasha Powell, Authentic Jazz Dance is a collection of dances created in African-American communities from the late 1800’s through the mid-1900s, set to jazz and swing music. From the Suzy Q, to the Charleston, we will explore what it looks and feels like to dance to jazz music, including the tips and tools that help bring these moves to life.

Experience a vibrant fusion of heritage and innovation through Rwandan Traditional and Contemporary Dance. Led by Isaac Gasangwa (IZO), this workshop offers a deep dive into the soul of Rwandan culture. Participants will master iconic styles such as Ikinimba, a rhythmic "warrior dance" characterized by powerful footwork, and Umushayayo, a graceful, flowing dance inspired by the movements of majestic long-horned cattle. Beyond traditional forms, the sessions bridge the gap to modern expression by integrating Afrobeats and contemporary techniques, focusing on storytelling, high-energy coordination, and communal joy.
